Count To Ten

The pit in my stomach

The tightness in my throat

No escape, no way to fight back

I'm sinking, unable to stay afloat

Find five things you can see

Count to ten they all say

They don't know that works so rarely

A knot ties itself around my lungs like a tourniquet

More destructive than it is saving

The pounding in my head, raving.

Only your hand, need you extend

For all this to end.
