To The Couple/I'm a Human

To the couple who left when I entered the resturant with my boyfriend:

I'm sorry my queerness offended you!

In fact, that shouldn't even be something I should have to say.

I'm not sorry, I'm beautiful.

I'm not sorry, I'm fabulous.

I'm not sorry, I'm a human.

But you just don't understand yet, do you?

You don't understand that I am a human.

Or that I'm beautiful or fabulous or queer because as far as you're concerned, being queer is just a mental disorder.

Well let me tell you guys: it's not!

So to the couple who left when I entered the resturant with my boyfriend,

to the couple who made me hate myself for a split second,

that made me feel embarassed and scared,

I'm a human.
