Courage
Courage
It doesn't come by sitting alone
Or by letting life pass you by
You may smile and put on an act
But inside you are breaking fast
The pain you feel inside
Is eating away at your soul
Strength only lasts for so long
You fall farther and faster
Into the darkness
And no one realizes
You're ready to be done
And life's no longer fun
But with one moment of courage
You took the string from your neck
And began again
Tried to live in joy
With more courage, you began to trust
And you no longer sit alone in life
Because of that single moment of courage
You're alive
