Courage

Your asking me to have or take

on an island so far away.

It's not a thing or possession

that will keep me safe.

Courage.

Courage defines the sane from flawed.

Defines the satiated/gnawed.

Defines hope from despair and

smoke from air.

God help me maintain my courage

should a fate be mine.

Far away in a land juxtaposed sublime.

Courage decides survival from flourish

be it sane or decay.
