The Courage to Keep Laughing

Laughter is one of the few things that can keep me going,

For it is the one thing I look forward to when I wake up.

Without laughter I wouldn’t have a strong relationship with my parents,

I wouldn’t enjoy spending time with my friends.

Laughter is the one thing I cannot live without.

Whether I’m laughing at a joke,

Something on Twitter,

With a friend,

Or something careless I did,

Laughter is the one thing I cannot live without.

I start the day not knowing what lays ahead.

Whether if I’ll be dealing with drama,

Callous and cold-blooded teachers,

Or moody parents,

Laughter is the one thing I cannot live without.

When I laugh I forget about the atrocious events that happened,

Even if it’s just for a split second,

And for that I’m forever grateful.

I’d take with me the courage to be able to laugh in the hardest of situations,

For laughter is the one thing I cannot live without.
