Courtyard

Cold concrete under foot

Icy and alone

Ants running blindly

Randomly, nowhere to go

Going nowhere important

People like ants, running blind

Sun beating down

Burning my skin like fire

Leaves dry and noisy blowing in circles

A blur of random patterns

Smell of wood chips taste like camp

Soft sound of talking

Laughing

Living life too fast

With no purpose

Living as if we were zombies

Rushing yet going nowhere

Fast, too fast

Suddenly yelling

Panic

Heart beating out of my chest

Screams that can be heard from afar

Talking, no meaning

Just sounds

Meaningless sounds

Crashing, loudly in your ears

No point

Icy and alone
