Cover

Cover me in a blanket

From birth we are covered in blankets

Cover me from the world

Cover me from the sins

From birth, blankets are a sign of comfort

Cover me from my broken love

Cover me from my heartache

From birth, blankets are small

Cover me when I’m older-

But it can’t.

Pull up, your feet are cold

Pull down, your body is cold

Your emotions are frozen

Cover me from my emotions

Cover me from feeling anything

From birth, you have to cycle through blankets

They all have the same effect

Keep you warm

What else would they be for?
