Cover-Girl

I'm gasping for air, Pushed underwater; Living on used air. Suffering silently; My invisible scars, Hidden behind fake smiles, And "I'm Fines'" Behind makeup, and cover-ups. My tears, unseen; My panic, non-existent, If no one cares to see it. The statement, "why would they?" Answered by a few simple actions; And a lifetime of "pulling through." While my secret gets wrapped around my neck; A noose, so tight, That even I can't unknot it. A grave freshly dug; A tombstone, with no mark.
