Covered up no more

The shower pours down from above washing away the days pain

the days makeup starts running down the drain

Your face is free

and your pores can finally breathe.

You walk around the house and see your old photos

what happened to me you ask yourself

is this what happens as I grow older.

The photos of me that i see no longer resemble me

They resemble me trying to be what I already am.

PERFECT.

Flaws just make me Unique

that one mole that seems imperfect is me.

I am no longer constricted by the makeup that once took up my face.

People can now see the me that I have fallen in love with.

The me that I once tore up with words and blades. The me that is no longer filtered by  society.
