The Coveted Item
It is what everyone strives for,
It is coveted by many,
It is a valuable item,
It is an exquisite creature,
A beauty to behold,
But it is common.
It is in everyone's possesion,
It is within everyone's reach,
It dwells deep within the cellars of one's closet,
beneath the rubble in one's shed,
It is the screw scattered between a thousand nails,
the ring lost within a praire,
It is some's life's work,
It is forgotten by some,
It deceives many,
but is found only by few.
It is found by poor or rich,
big or small, strong and weak,
It is found by those willing to look for it,
It is not given,
It is not only for the chosen ones or the select few,
It is taken
It is grasped, It is clutched, It is seized,
It is Greatness.
Greatness is Earned.
