COVID 19

You are a virus whose origin is unknown

You may be new but most facts about you are known

You are called COVID 19

A virus affecting people of all ages even the under 19

You are spread through respiratory droplets

And use our noses, ears and mouths as your inlets

COVID 19 Symptoms

We are aware that you make us feel tired

As if we just completed a tedious work for which we were hired

You also give us dry cough

Just like that of whooping cough

You also give us fast breathing

And keep our body temperature continuously increasing

Who is at risk?

People think that you go for only those in cold climatic conditions

But your infection does not depend on climatic conditions

You are a threat to all global residents

Since you affect even powerful countries’ presidents

You neither care about one’s economic class

Nor do you even spare those in the low social class

COVID 19 preventive measures

It is believed that staying at home when having

flu-like symptoms is one of the best preventive measures

It may be so, but the most effective measure is regular hand washing

We should also wear facemasks in crowded places

Maintaining good social distancing

And always practice cough and sneeze etiquettes

Susceptibility to COVID 19

You keep developing new variants to increase your capacity of transmission

But you can’t infect me without my permission

Because if I use the preventive measures as my treasure

I will keep enjoying my life with some degree of pleasure

Though management of COVID 19 positive cases is the health workers’ responsibility

Protecting ourselves and our beloved ones is our collective duty
