Coward's Heartbreak

Dearest you,

For whom my heart aches and pines for;

For whom I wish to gaze upon forever;

For whom occupies my every thought;

Hello!

And, also, farewell.

I see now that it has come time to let you go- that these feelings are not something I should hold on to.

That the feelings here were Platonic Love, and not the sad, Unrequited Love I so thought they were.

You were always by my side;

You were always there for me;

You were always my dearest person.

Yes,

We were ever destined to remain friends and nothing more.

Therefore,

I thank you.

For the times my heart would race from your every word;

For the times my heart would race when you hugged me;

For the times my heart would race when our hands brushed upon another.

Thank you,

And yours forever,

A coward too afraid to say this to Dearest you.
