The Cowboy

I live Just outside of town

I live simply,

You may think I am a clown

my soul sure ain't empty

For I am a Cowboy

I make a ride up out above the pass

Home to rope a dummy or two

then to chase after a lass

but shoot what is new

For I am a cowboy

I might know very little

the thing I know

is God opposition to little

and that should make you say whoa

For I am a cowboy

I may be old fashioned

but the friends I make

surly will have lasted

before my body will break

For I am a cowboy

The time has ended

up the trail I go

the bones are mended

you say so

Time for me the cowboy to go
