Crack of Dawn

She opens her eyes to see the monsters of the night have come and gone. Her smile so bright, as the song of the birds awakens the dawn. The sun warmly kisses her face, And she discovers the serenity that lies within nature’s place. A new day, a new beginning. A clean slate from yesterday’s sinning. No more fears from the dark lord who takes life away, But a stronger relationship with the angel of day. Beauteous creatures come out to play, Some from the earth, sky and even the bay. There is nothing more lovely than the wings of a swan. And the enchantment all begins at the crack of dawn.
