Cracked Mirror

A vision of yourself, perfected and divine

Like a storm brewing, clouds your mind

You look in the mirror and the rain begins to poor

As lightning strikes, the mirror is no more.

We as a people obsess over appearance

To image we kneel as an act of adherence

You gaze in the mirror and the rain begins to poor

As lightning strikes, the mirror is no more.

Why are you so displeased with your reflection

Why can't you see your perfect imperfections

We all are unique in our own unique way

Beauty is internal, it can't be taken away.

Embrace your body, your person, your soul

Be more than content with yourself as a whole

For you are beautiful because you are you

There's no need to change, to yourself stay true.

A vision of yourself, untouched and unique

You forget about worries regarding physique

You stare in the mirror and welcome the sight

Of yourself as you are, in the mirror of what's right.
