Cracked Wall

Fri, 07/01/2016 - 12:11 -- ndg24

Ever since i was young

i grew up all alone

i carried a hammer

to try and repair my home

but nothing seemed to work

until i was relieved and shown

the power of poetry

on a bet tv show

i wanted to be like them

i wanted their flow

i wanted to be happy

i wanted that code

 i would've punched it in

and made the whole place blow

just to see people smiling

from the way i've grown

it's helped me through everything

and the nights that were cold

it's funny how your heart feels

as you get old

you become closed off

and you don't know the dose

that could save your life

and plant the post

a post that would say

i love myself the most.

But that could be torn down

by the demons and the ghosts

floating around your spirit

and the crazy unknown

they'd try to push you off the cliff

while your blind folded and closed

you've gotta be open

or the light will blow

and you'll be left with nothing

just a empty home.
