Cracking Joints


Everything cracks. My shoulders, hips, knees, all pop. The sound causes children to stare, wide eyed As if they are looking at their own future. I smile, try to hide the embarrassment Watch their parents usher them away For their own sake, of course. To hide the morbid curiosity that A young girl like me, could sound as though she's Falling apart.
