cracks

I know you can see me

I am sitting here and I am trusting

my mind to you.

but you only hear and see those

who act out

or are "behavioral"

My BEHAVIOR does

NOT attract you because I

am quiet

I am shy.

You make me rage at how lost I am because

for me to raise my arm,

to draw attention to myself,

is like sticking a pin into my eyes.

I cannot bear the pressure of

what I need to do to impress you

You only seem to see and hear

the kids that RAGE and outwardly express themselves.

But quiet ones like me

we have questions.

we need you too.

but we are so easy to

ignore.  To

slip through

the cracks.

to go away.
