Cracks

Cracks in the window,

Cracks in the mirror,

Cracks in the wall,

Are already here.

Covered in plaster,

Filled in with shine,

Sparkling, perfect,

Thin little lines.

Criss cross my glasses,

Spider web cracks,

Spreading and widening,

Until I only see black.

Black and red,

Loneliness and pain,

Seep through the cracks,

In the stained-glass lie.

I hide all the cracks,

With smiles and jokes,

So no one asks why,

I am no longer whole.
