Cram

You just need to last until the break

cramming for your GPA's sake

You twitch and you cringe and you tweak

and crack and you break and you freak

You learn for the moment, not for retention

can't tell your parents, it's all for attention

that your mental state's weird

your energy's disappeared

You never want to do anything

only thinking of deadlines impending

there's guilt over social interaction

could be doing work, no satisfaction

then it starts to stack up, makes dozens of piles

unacceptable late work goes on for miles

you'll have to beg, please, just grade it

you start to get why so many quit

all you want is that one piece of paper

trying to think, ears leak water vapor.
