Crash

Crash

Crunch

Slam

The sound of the car was the sound of my heart

My foot pushing on the brake was my mind pushing away reality

The tear falling from my eye was the naivety leaving my soul

In a split second

One crash

One crunch

One slam

I faced responsibility for the first time
