Crazy place

I lie to my brain to keep my heart from crying

my hands want love, but my arms are dying

our world is a crazy place

we see something pretty we have to lust

our failures are what society tends to hold us captive of

they say it's our generation, but that's not the case

who raised these these children is what I ask

dont sit there and try to hide something that you can only mask

you try to change them, but look into this other task

understand...... They're hurting the world is crying

children taunted by self hate have no way out by dying

teach the world to love, like geometry class

inhale love exhale hate

create the high before it's to late, make it last

theses kids have scars from the tears they've shed

who are we to not help them and sooth their fears

i can't do it by myself, so frustrating

turning down broken hearts due to lack of arms, it's heart breaking

a heart, two hands, and a conscience is enough to keep a million hearts from aching
