Creation of Society

Filters.

They create only what we want the world to see

but without filters who will I be

Will I be smiling and laughing with joy in my eyes,

or will I be broken and lonely just wanting to cry

Without a filter will the world be cruel

and say hateful words and call me a fool

Will they point out all of the flaws that I've got

and tear me down until I feel as if I'm nothing but rot

Society has made us so self-consious and scared

so afraid to be ourselves because we know our feelings won't be spared.

So no, I won't take my filters down

because I'm afraid of what I'll see,

The girl you see in these photos

is what society has made me be.
