The Creature
Along with peace, the light has faded
An eerie silence lingers for a moment
Among the shadows they will creep
Darkness walks, alone and unseen
Flowers retreat, silently waiting for love to return
The forest awakens to an abandoned home
Unashamed, the monsters stalk
Unapproachable, yet ready to strike
A shiver flows through the treetops
A soft golden glow signals the end
Anxiously the monsters flee
Fear has no hold, peace returns
