Credit Score

Had to find a place to live,

Shouldn't be that hard.

Had some roommates which would give

me a good head start.

Applications left and right,

fees and fees stack up.

Had to check my credit score

to see if it adds up.

Logging on to Credit Karma

step one complete with ease.

Answering their questions though

not as easy as it seems!

They try to trick you telling you

loans are in your name.

Only 19 so my brain thought

someone was to blame!

Identity theft! My young brain thought

Mind racing like a horse.

But after choosing "none of the lot"

The truth was clear, of course.

My identity was safe and sound

the questions just a test,

A lesson to be learned came round,

One loan, just one, I'm blessed.

Student loan to pay when through

with textbook fees that keep my wallet in grips.

When done with class, money I must accrue.

Therefore I apply for this scholarship.
