Creed/ Gold

Creed

I write in an ink

Encapsulated in plastic

foreign to the usual mold.

Shaped by a known, yet

Overlooked manufacturer.

I remember only certain

Aspects of life matter.

I remember physical objects

Are not to control

The one who wields it

But only the other way around.

I remember intimidation

By an agrigate nor group

Shall not rein upon anyone

And influence actions and

Intentions of their own.

Positive or negative

Of outcome.

Gold

I write this article of poetry

And review as it's written

On a sheet of paper

Overdue for a change of notebook.

Realizing an apifany

Describing that monetary value

Still has no weight

When put on a scale

Compared to memories

Of glee, not gold.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
