Crest
The wave slams onto
The flat of my board, pushing
And throwing me
Into the icy waters,
Despite the hot 90
Degrees,
The cold envelops me.
The waves rise again,
I see a good one
In the distance.
Paddle
Paddle
Paddle
And my board is flying
And I am cold
Again.
Perpendicular he yells
From shore,
The wave is coming at me
Again.
I plunge,
Turn,
Paddle,
Paddle,
Paddle.
I’m cruising,
Up he yells
From shore,
And this time I push up
And I am
Above the wave.
