The Cricket Match
Where sibling rivalry meets playful teamwork
The sun is high, the field is set,
Four sisters, four brothers—let’s make this bet.
A cricket match, the stakes are clear,
Bragging rights for the rest of the year.
The boys take their positions, the bats raised high,
But the sisters stand firm, no fear in their eye.
The ball spins fast, the bat swings wide,
In this friendly battle, no one’s taking a side.
First up is the eldest sister, strong and bold,
She grips the bat, her stance pure gold.
The bowler winds up, the ball takes flight—
She swings with power, sending it out of sight.
The brothers cheer, the sisters groan,
But it’s the youngest brother, taking the throne.
He runs, he slides, his aim true and fast,
But the sisters are ready to make this last.
The field’s a frenzy, with laughter and runs,
The sisters and brothers, sharing the fun.
Each wicket is claimed with cheers and shouts,
No one’s backing down, no one’s in doubt.
The match draws near, the sun sinking low,
With runs on the board and spirits aglow.
In the end, there’s no winner, no defeat,
Just the joy of a match where hearts meet.
For in this game, what’s clear to see—
It’s not about winning, but family.
Four sisters, four brothers, strong and true,
In every match, it’s love that gets us through.
