Cries for Freedom

Creaky silence Wrenching cold SHUSHHH! Prevailing hunger Running thirst SHUSHHH! Crying Out A midnight shout SHUSHHH! lonely boney but not a phony SHUSHHH! Tied and trialed Guilty SHUSHHH! Pleaded Begged No evidence was shed just found dead SHUSHHH! lost distraught GET OUT SHUSHHH! Sleepy Weeping Is this all a memory? SHUSHHH! White light Its too bright SHUSHHH! HELP! Can you hear me? SHUSHHH! Must I scream, For you to see me? SHUSHHH! Hot as night Cold as day Where's my rights? beguiled betrayed SHUSHHH! Chocked Gagged shunned left to rot in this bewildered drought SHUSHHH! is it day is it night I need my rights SHUSHHH! Silenced again Bloody hands SHUSHHH! I'm innocent found guilty SHUSHHH! dark sunrise light sunset Who's the law Are you my rights? SHUSHHH! Suppressed Stressed I need you SHUSHHH! Freedom where are you?! Can you hear me... SHUSHHH! Silence Freedom is dead Left bleeding memories of past extremities.
