Cries of the Motherless Child

Finally, her child in her arms.

The warmth of her chest radiates onto her childs smile.

Flashes and smiles.

Everything seems ok.

Her body is done fighting craving for sleep.

Everything seems ok.

A sudden jolt of chills runs across her body.

Her fist tightens the sheets.

Her lips pale in comparison to her chocolate skin.

Doctors suggest it's cold.

It's common among women who just gave birth.

Ignoring the signs of her body yelling for help.

She shakes like a newborn child.

Time starts to move slowly.

Yells of husband pleading for help

Boiling tears form around his eyes.

Doctors, again, ignore the sign.

Until the flatline rings in there ears.

It's too late.
