crimson lines

2:07 a.m.
the deepest, stillest part of the night has fallen and i am the only person in the world who has not found love or rest tonight

2:19 a.m.
the loneliness kills me like a cancer

2:23 a.m.
i reach for a blade, to write my story in sharp crimson lines on my parchment skin

2:40 a.m.
the memory of you and your laugh and all our wild stargazing nights where i fell so deeply in love with the sad complexity of your soul, the memory crowds my mind and it is hard to  b r e a t h e

2:43 a.m.
my throat is tight and my chest burns for either you or air but to be honest i stopped distinguishing the two when you left

2:59 a.m.
i'm empty. save the horrible finality in your eyes when i cried and drowned and died in front of you

3:03 a.m.
it's three in the morning and i should be asleep

3:07 a.m.
i reach for a blade
