Crinch Crunch Squish Squash
Crinch crunch goes the leaves from the trees I touch from the ground and into the earth--that's more like the grass--but it's everything I've learned to be amazingly easy when our minds think it is hard
As difficult as climbing the mountain, ones school of thought is steep and rocky--but this is life as we have made it.
Squish squash as my boots meet the flood on cement ground
The sounds they make are unnatural and odd to the people who have never worn rubber
What or how--it does not last nor does it matter, but for some reason I still have a dream.
A selfish dream, one that does not help or hurt mankind
As I stroll I wish to hear the breeze--not strong, but mellow so I can barely hear what they say to me
They tell me it's not my time yet
I'll have my day and I'll find my way and once that moment passes I'll go back to pulling grasses off the earth's hairy head
