I was told To write about a woman who is bold This woman raised me No not with a he Only her This story is very obscure June 14th 2000 a baby was born Seven years later they would mourn This woman was all alone With 7 kids yet not grown Cristina was her name At times she felt a shame Our father dead But our mother lead Poverty is one thing this woman knows best And since she has put poverty to rest Her kids now ranging from 22 through Ten 3 women 4 men This woman went through so much Yet she still has a soft touch. Before all this she was born in Mexico 20 years later America would glow She crossed the border with my Dad They were ever so glad The American dream would start But little did they know the meal was tart Now she is a legal resident no longer illegal yet still hated by her president I would now call this woman Ma I wish I knew Pa All I want to say is Thank you This is all very true All I want to say is gracias She still has ancias All I want to say is Arigatōgozaimashita No one can take back what I have saw Through all this she tried to look calm Cristina Alvarado is the best and bravest mom
