The Critical Condition of the Heart

Hospital beds Doctors and nurses And the smell of medicine lingering around Some family members here and there Some receiving good news and some receiving bad Some eating and drinking coffee And some crying or waiting for news And here I am Laying in the hospital bed Never pictured this With the white sheets and hooked up to machines IV in my arms And suffering Suffering from heartbreak, damage to the heart, and unhappiness But why? I guess this is what happens when the heart has had enough I've had tried to survive the damages but it was too late And here I lay in the hospital bed With a coma and I can't see nothing in sight Not aware of anything My brain isn't functioning And its almost like I was dead Did I die? What was happening to me? It felt like I had died and went to heaven But I wouldn't know how it would feel Or did I really know? Was all this possible? To die but to still be alive? I was suffering from all this hurt Allowing myself to constantly get hurt And not protecting my heart This is where this gets me.... In a coma because I couldn't take control And recognize the signs my body was telling me But I was so in love with you You were everything to me But I wasn't anything to you I was just another girl to you And this is where this gets me.... The more heartbreak The more my heart began to shut down like an old car that won't start Soon it was less blood flowing through my veins And the heart stopped pumping Now it's the coma stage... As I start to think to myself None of it was worth it It tore my family and me apart Will my heart ever recover? The heart is a place where there are different emotions Sensitivity much But it's nothing to play with The Critical Condition of the Heart
