The Critics' Hostilities
They took away my voice.
They took away my choice,
To express myself through speech.
People love to suck your spirit from you like a leech.
I write so I can be seen since I cannot be heard.
But I wonder will people really see my words?
People can be so oblivious nowadays,
Stuck in their own self-centered ways.
I write so that I can be free,
From society’s laws that have been placed upon me.
I will choose who sees what I write,
And I really don’t care if you don’t think I’m right.
I’m just expressing myself to the best of my abilities,
And turning away from the critics' hostilities.
