Crossing the Bridge

That feeling when crossing the bridge, Over your fears, Over your streaming thoughts That brought tears to your eyes. Brushing your hand along the railing, The wood is so rough it gives you slivers, but as you keep walking it gets smoother. That feeling of relief. Walking across that bridge Gives you happiness, It makes you feel like there's nothing pulling you back. Like you're on a cloud; floating above your fears. As soon as you're about to step onto the other side, You look back; taking a picture in your mind, to remember what you went through to get to the other side. It's that feeling When crossing the bridge. The sigh of relief, And the taste of freedom.
