Crown of Creation

I’m running, my feet hitting hard on the pavement,

My body weary, I look up to see the sun shinning brightly,

And I look to Jesus.

My feet, barefoot now, cold and wet from the dew on the grass.

I’m running to mountains,

So beautiful is this field.

I look to the horizon and the sun is shinning brightly still.

I see white cloth moving in the wind,

And I run to him!

I jump and fall into his arms,

My Lord holds me and says, “look at all of this.”

I’m in awe Lord of your majesty.

“Daughter, the beauty I gave you far surpasses

The beauty of this field,

The glory of the mountains,

You are my crown of creation.”
