Cruel World

Cruel world
I stare around and see racism still filling the air like a gaseous explosion waiting to take out man kind
Who knew that a hoodie and some candy would make you a threat to a world your just trying to make it in
Cruel world
I smell the defeat and disappointment of the child who just dropped out of school thinking they are better off and fine
I feel the hands of the parents that are knees bowed, hands held together praying that they can start again
Cruel world
I hear the moans and the groans of the homeless just trying to make it by
Extend a few dollars hoping to ease your aching pain to watch someone hurt when it could be you
Cruel world
I taste the total determination of those people who is struggling to change this world before they die
The hunger to see people get along and unite as one, to accomplish all we want to
See, I'm just a loner trying to make a change in this cruel world.
