Cruelties Romancing
They would hold a heart of stone while the best of men will die alone the worst has past why then must my madness last kindness wilts to horrid ways more & more I count the days she & I could harmonize if only my presence she did not despise I can love in ways most forgot still they flee they'll take me not confidence is slowly shot a gentle heart doomed to rot if kindness has its own reward why does my heart hold a sword
