Cruisin'

Rolled down the window,

For the lucky, where the filter and my lips meet.

Rain drops falling between my seat.

While inspirations fall onto my lap.

Sweet sounds of the saxophone

Glide through the auxcord.

Blooming out of the speaker

Feet on the dashboard

The passenger awaits, my keeper

Keep her

Quarter tank of 87

No money

Long destination

It’s endless

Wishing my odometer was the amount of money I had

No worries

City lights amplify on my car

But for now,

Let’s take the back road

Over the reservoir.
