Cruising

Wind in every follicle

Warm then cold.

Light reflects from between

Lips then pierced.

Sparkle gazing out

Window then dull inside.

Thrilling ride on the streets

No one sees within.

Every color in the sky

Beautiful then dark.

Silence is without

Words unspoken then unleashed.

Surrounding clamor deafens

No one hears within.

Our hearts beat

Slow then fast.

Thrown back and forth

Malice then resentment.

Unable to wear the shoes

He doesn’t feel within.
