Crumble vs. Crumple

Crumple vs crumble --
which is more humble?

Crumple, in certain circumstances,
is just delicious.
Consider pie crumbled,
even humble-pie,
has a quality most elevating.

Ironically, to get to apple crumble,
one has to crumple.

While crumble is so associated with failure.
When strength is expected,
instead, it falls apart into little bits,
so that wins humble to the point of pathetic.

In fact, I'm going to go back to crumple
makes some cookie dust and crumps
declare the winner
