crush

I fell for a guy I could never have

And somehow, I make the same mistake

It’s as if my heart doesn’t listen

To what my brain has to say

I say no and hope to forget

But these lingering feelings are hard to regret

He walks down the halls with all his grace

With his smile plastered on his sculpted face

Yet I’m not the cause of such thing

For I am not to his tastes

He wants a pretty girl with a pretty face

Fitting for someone of his place

How could I ever beat such a fate?

I’ll never amount to his expectations

And quite frankly I don’t care

But even so my heart won’t stop

So I’ll walk these crowded halls

Maybe glance once or twice

I’ll never say a word

Because I know how it ends
