A Crushed Lotus
A crushed lotus that needs to blossom again
Now my smiles have started to convey my pain
Used as a commodity without the tag of handle with care
Eyes penetrating through my clothes making me feel bare
Barren soul trying hard to cry but eyes just refuse to rain
A crushed lotus that needs to blossom again
Just for few moments of pleasure and joy
They play with me as if I am a toy
Then leave me to collect pieces of shattered esteem
Turning a deaf ear on hearing my silence scream
My brain lies there in oblivion while body tries to move in vain
A crushed lotus that needs to blossom again
People just get lured by my physical aspect
Get flabbergasted when my eyes demand respect
My heart is the reservoir of my hollowness that I can’t vent
Mirror depicts a blurred reflection of my identity as I prep up for a new torment
And thrust myself into this life of agony and disdain
A crushed lotus that needs to blossom again
My eyes don’t tell me but they do dare to dream
About a life of humdrum not involving anything extreme
Is expecting someone to love me too much to ask
Before reality shakes me from this reverie let me bask
At least thoughts don’t discriminate while entering a particular brain
A crushed lotus that needs to blossom again
