Crushes

Crushes are

pretty, but pointless

Love that rush of emotions?

That’s what they call

”adrenaline”

Makes you feel wonderful,

like you’re wanted,

right?

But not really

because that heart throb

and

squeal of delight when they

pass you by is

worth more than anything

you have ever experienced

But that’s just it

Crushes are

little white lies you tell yourself

to feel

anything

It doesn’t matter what

and when it doesn’t work out,

(which it never does),

you hurt yourself and

feel worse than when you started

Your heart is in two

and everything is broken

But

you pick yourself back up,

glue the pieces together,

change your point of view (of the world),

and move on

Until the next cycle starts all over again.

Again

Another crush

Pretty, but pointless

Because just like before

that rush,

”adrenaline”

Do you actually like them or

are you just here for that

overwhelming yet addictive rush you rarely get?

Is that a heart throb

or

heart burn?

Both

What’s the difference?

Heart throbs are

when you get close to your crush and

you feel all nervous around them (happily of course)

But heart burn is caused by

pain you feel after learning that

they like someone else (painfully enough)

That squeal of delight is really your

intake of breath because

you can’t bare to breathe in their scent

You know

there has never been anything

sweeter than them

And then you’re obsessed

Just a little more,

until you hit a high,

but then you open up your eyes

It doesn’t turn out the way you planned

You start to crash, but burn as well

Your heart is a little more broken;

nothing could possibly be right

But

you pick yourself back up,

stick the pieces together one more time,

change your point of view (again)

and move on

Until the next vicious cycle of this so called “love”

can start again and tear you apart

bit

by

bit.
