Crust in my eyes
Crust in my eyes
Softness surrounds me,
Cocooned in a warm blanket
I want to sleep.
Ambition forces me up,
On my feet
The day has started
I can do this.
Plastic toothbrush
Fighting with contacts
Wrapping myself in clothing
The essentials for a day
I can see.
Grab a bite, leaving in a chariot
Playing a sport that has grown with me.
Improving myself, mentally and physically.
I am dripping in sweat.
Changing clothes
Working for money
Cleaning up after meals,
Learning the worth of it all
I am humbled.
Making spiritual connections
Meeting new people
Learning everyone has their own
Universe
I am amazed.
Exhaustion is setting in.
Late night driving,
Beautiful music keeps me alert
Windows rolled down
Cool air hits me.
I feel tranquil.
Relaxation at home
Mom gives best advice
And cares like no one else.
Brother picks on me
With a lot of love behind it
Dad doesn’t say much
His action speak much louder.
I am grateful.
