Cry For Equality

Arkansas

State so beautiful

Natural as can be

Friendly people everywhere

We do not miss a beat

But disappointment looms

In my home state true

A view upon marriage

Only man and woman

It makes me so blue

I get where they stand

It is how they were raised

Now a new generation

Time has changed

Why don't other change too

I lay in bed

I myself to sleep

I want to be myself

Living my life

That is all I want to do

So what will happen

Will the future be brighter

Can I live my life

What is Arkansas

What are we to be

Arkansas

State so beautiful

Natural as can be

Friendly people everywhere

But change is to be sought
