A Cry For Help

Poems express emotions through words

It's ironic because I've never been good with words.

I've always been silent

not letting those who pretend to care know

about my bruises

the bruises no one sees but me

the bruises that will never heal

no one knows things i've gone through

people try to

they try to let me tell them my pain

so maybe they can tell one person

or four

maybe five

so they can tell others

im lying

im exaggerating

i should get over it

in reality,

yes

i've lied

not about what i've gone through

i've exaggerated

not about what i've gone through

i've tried to get over things

the things that i have gone through.

i'm starting to think that maybe i'm crazy

maybe i should get sent away like everyone wants me to

sent away to a place that everyone has a nickname for

"the loony bin"

"the crazy people place"

"the psycho hospital"

"padded room palace"

even though i tell myself im crazy

my brain never agrees

maybe thats because i'm genuinely not crazy

i've just been forced to believe that

i want to get over things i never speak of

i want to smile at people and say "im fine"

and actually mean it

I know the title is

A Cry For Help

but

I don't need help

i need love

i need someone to save me from myself

kids my age called me a bitch

teachers called me despicable

parents called me a liar

when will i stand up for myself?

never.

because i agree

ive been called this all so much

to the point where i believe it

i want someone to help me believe

that im not a bad person

that maybe i can be happy

or just that it'll be okay.

i'm not crazy

i'm not a liar

i'm human

no one cares though

goodbye, i love you
