A Cry for Help
The world just keeps on spinning,
Humanity just keeps on winning.
The trees are dying,
The children crying,
Oh won’t somebody please make a difference.
Hate is unbeatable,
Chains unbreakable,
Hearts unfixable,
Dreams unachievable,
Oh won’t somebody please make a difference.
Fear in their eyes,
No wisdom from the wise,
Drowning in these lies,
Destruction is no surprise,
Oh won’t somebody please make a difference.
The future is near,
That much is clear,
Holding on to hopes so dear,
Dear Father can’t you hear?
Oh won’t somebody please make a difference.
Please stop the wars,
We can’t take it anymore.
We’re losing the strength to hold on,
Our hope is almost gone.
Oh won’t somebody please make a difference.
Will there be a new beginning,
For this world full of sinning?
Or will it crumble at fall,
Into nothing at all?
Oh won’t somebody please make a difference.
