crying out

In a messy world full of greys, we often loose our footing. When savage storms will snarl and foam we forget we have legs to stand on. We can only hold on, and keep our eyes on each other, and that light pouring forth from the heart of true lovers. 

But the shadows, they peck and whisper, scratch and moan and mutter,
death, destruction, destitution.

Roaring Night 
consumes us, with mere sliver moon's glow. 
we cower in the coldness, we tremble and we stutter
we shriek and shout out
why? Why me?! Answers! Answers, please!

And one day we shall find what was lost, and all who stand shall blaze forth, and never again wane in fear. 
So promised a sickly old woman. 
But what did she have to loose from such thought? Her hour was nearly nigh. And perhaps the Sun will greets her, or perhaps she'll meet the Night. 
We need answers! We need light!
As for you and me, it is much too hard to sit still and wait, listening for guidance- was it just the wind or was it a voice? Too faint to make out. Too faint. Lost in the roaring winter night. Lost in the shadows, that flickering light.

Give me an answer! A miracle, please! Is your pain within my pain, do your tears trickle down? Were you ever binded such as blind as this beggar is now? Are you there! Light-bearer? Trumpeter? Painter of flowers, even in the shadowed lights? Paver of the narrow paths, through the rocky mountains high?

Give me an answer, give me a sign! Am I a fool? Am I a lie?!
